Candidate Membership Qualifications:

To be eligible for candidate membership in the Society, orthopaedic surgeons must:

• Be a candidate for examination and certification by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery;
• Maintain good standing in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) or the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO);
• Be a lawfully licensed physician in the State of Georgia;
• Maintain the highest professional, moral and ethical standards;
• Support the Constitution of the United States and the State of Georgia;
• Comply with the dues, fees, and assessment requirements established from time to time by the Board of Directors of this Society.

Candidate members are eligible to vote.  Candidate members are not eligible to hold office, serve on committees, nor sponsor candidates for membership.
